Esther M. Bostrom, wife of John W. Davies
     Esther Marie Bostrom, daughter of Lars Magnus Boström and Martha Wiberg, was born on 6 November 1885 at Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas.1

     Esther married John W. Davies on 6 April 1908, at Elbert, Elbert, Colorado.2,3

     Esther died on 15 April 1958, at age 72,4 and was buried at Elizabeth Cemetery, Elizabeth, Elbert, Colorado.4

     Esther and John appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Franktown, Douglas, Colorado, at Cherry Creek Road and Cross Roads, enumerated 3 May 1910. John was a farmer on a general farm Their children, John were listed as living with them..5

     Esther appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Kiowa, Elbert, Colorado, enumerated 23 April 1930. Esther, at this time a widow, owned her home. Her sons, John and Louis William and her father, Lars were listed as living with them.6

     Esther appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Kiowa, Elbert, Colorado, enumerated 22 April 1940. Esther was listed as a widow. Her son, Louis William was listed as living with her. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.7
