     Lillian and Ray appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bellmore, Nassau, New York, enumerated 11 April 1940. Roy was renting, paying $35.00 a month. He was working as an electrical technican. Lillian was a teacher at a public school Their children, Carol Elizabeth and Robert V. were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022.
