     Frances and Arthur appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Marquette, Marquette, Michigan, enumerated 24 April 1940. Atrhur was working as a forman for a telephone company. He was renting at the time paying $18.00 per month. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.5
