     Neal L. Johnson was born on 29 September 1944 at Stonington, Hancock, Maine.2

     Neal married Bonnie Gail Snow in March 1966.1

     Neal died on 5 June 2007, at Newburgh, Penobscot, Maine, at age 62,2 and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Oceanville, Hancock, Maine.2

NEAL L JOHNSON

NEWBURGH - Neal L. Johnson, 62, passed away June 5, 2007, at his home. Neal was born Sept. 29, 1944, in Stonington, the son of Oscar and Harriet (Lemoine) Johnson. Neal grew up in Stonington where he graduated from Stonington High School, Class of 1963. Upon his graduation he entered the US Air Force. Neal was a police officer for the Hampden Police Department for 10 years and took great pride in being "Officer Friendly". After leaving the police force he was a sales representative for EA Buschmann Industrial Supply for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed his animals, wood working, gardening, camping, hiking and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. Neal is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Bonnie Johnson of Newburgh; two daughters Melissa A. Beaton of Glenburn, and Cassandra "Sandi" L. Johnson of Brewer; three sisters Barbara Boyce of Deer Isle, Betty Lawson of Stonington, and Brenda Witham and husband Lawrence "Larry" of Sebec; four grandchildren, Mikele, Cole, Abigail, and Megan; one aunt many nieces nephews and cousins. He is also survived by a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Barry and Anna Snow; and a special friend, Steve Collins. Neal was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Harriet, by a nephew James Neal Campbell and a great-nephew Christopher Martin. Family and friends may visit 1-3 and 4-6 pm, Sunday June 10, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A graveside service will be held 1 pm, Monday, June 11, at Greenwood Cemetery, Oceanville Road Stonington conducted by Chaplain Maria Guereca of Eastern Maine Medical Center. In keeping with Neal's love of animals memorial gifts may be made to the SPCA Trenton Maine, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME 04605. He was renting, paying $35.00 a month Their daughter, Helen Dagmar were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.3
