Mother | Sally Foster Babb b. 1796, d. 28 Jan 1875 |
Abigail Hersey Smith, daughter of John Smith and Sally Foster Babb, was born circa 1828 at Maine.1
Abigail, daughter of John Smith and Sally Foster Babb, married Loring Quimby Lane before 1852.3
Abigail died on 7 June 1891 at Minnesota.2
Abigail Hersey Smith was buried at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Per Lakewood.com burial date was 6/27/1896, but she died in 1891. She was probably buried in Maple Hill Cemetery first, and then moved. Other Lane family members were moved when that cemetery closed. Stone reads Abbie A. Lane. However nearly all records indicate her middle initial was H and not A, including the page from the family bible presumably written by Abbie herself. The tombstone is incorrect.2
