     Virginia C. Carpenter was born on 5 January 1908 at Flushing, New York.3

     Virginia married Edgar D. Van Dyke, son of Albert Van Brunt Van Dyke and Eliza M. Rumph, on 17 November 1931, at Queens, New York.4,5

     Virginia died on 28 June 1992, at age 84,3 and was buried at Flushing Cemetery, Flushing, Queens, New York.

Census

     Virginia and Edgar appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of North Hempstead, Nassau, New York, at East Bayview Avenue, enumerated 20 May 1940. He was working as a building carpenter. Edgar was renting, paying $50.00 a month Their children, Audrey were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.6

     Edward married Sarah Adaline Morrison.3 Edward P. Carr witnessed the death of Edward P. Carr on 6 September 19032,4 and was buried at Huntington Rural Cemetery, Huntington, Suffolk, New York.4
