     Lydia and Oscar appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, enumerated 2 January 1920. He was working as a machinist at a tractor company Their children, Allen Waldo, Virgil Dennis, Lyle Oscar, Marian Bernice and Ruth Charlotte were listed as living with them.6

     Lydia appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, enumerated 9 April 1930. She was renting, paying $20.00 per month. They did have a radio set in the home. Her children, Allen Waldo, Virgil Dennis, Lyle Oscar, Marian Bernice, Marden Bennett and Ruth Charlotte were listed as living with her.7

     Lydia appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, enumerated 14 April 1940. She was renting, paying $22.00 per month. Her children, Lyle Oscar, Marian Bernice and Ruth Charlotte were listed as living with her. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.8
