Lewis Mosher

Griggstown, March 1. Funeral service of Lewis Mosher will be held from the late home tomorrow afternoon, the Rev. P. C. Bascon officiating. The interment will be in the Elm Ridge Cemetery at Three Mile Run. Mr. Mosher died at his home on Tuesday. He was a native of Millstone, where he was born Nov. 3, 1857, the son of the late Dr. Lewis H. and Matilda Beekman Mosher. He is survived by his widow, who was, before her marriage. Miss H. C. Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Young; one granddaughter; Miss Edith M. Young; one brother, Dr. Abram B. Mosher, and one sister, Mrs. Warren LaBarr, of Paterson.1

     Dr. Lewis H. Mosher was born in November 1822.2

     Lewis married Matilda Beekman, daughter of Abraham Christopher Beekman and Elizabeth Houghton, on 28 March 1848.1

     Lewis died on 29 March 1882, at age 59,2 and was buried at Beekman Cemetery, Montgomery, Somerset, New Jersey.3

Her brothers, Walter and John were living with her. His children Minnie and William were listed as living with them.5
