     Leigh died at age 73, on 13 February 2011, at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick, Maine,4 and was buried at Rogers Cemetery, Topsham, Sagadahoc, Maine.5

Obituary

Obituary for Leigh W. Apt Wiscasset - Leigh W. Apt, 73, of Gardiner Road died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. He was born in Dennysville, Maine on November 3, 1937, a son of Walter C. and Arlene (Fenderson) Apt. He attended Brunswick Schools and graduated from Brunswick High School. He was employed at Lane Construction in Portland. He married Barbara L. Koehling and was employed at Bath Iron Works for over 40 years as a material clerk. Leigh's passion was the love of sports, rooting for all New England Teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. He watched his grandson at all his sports events. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and recreational lobstering. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara L. Apt of Wiscasset, one daughter, Susan L. Apt-Bisson and her husband Richard of Topsham, one brother, Roy Apt and his wife Brenda of Goffstown, NH, two grandchildren, Joshua L. Bisson and his wife Erin of Limerick and Melissa Harper and her husband Dana of Bath, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday at the Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Kennebec Tavern on Water Street in Bath. Burial will be held at Rogers Cemetery in Topsham in the Spring.      Walter C. Apt was born circa 1914 at Maine.2

     Walter, married Francis Arlene Fenderson at age 21, daughter of George H. Fenderson and Annie Mae Dudley, on 3 October 1936 at Maine.1

     Walter died in 1963,3 and was buried at Rogers Cemetery, Topsham, Sagadahoc, Maine.3
