In a petition to the General Court for wages, preserved in Massachusetts State Archives Margaret (his wife) declared that Charles Furbush entered the provincial military service July 1, 1756 and was taken sick while serving under Captain John Wright at Fort Edward, N.Y. but died on the way home at Saratoga.1

Capt. Charles Furbush died in 1795
Charles had served with his father at Fort Edward but later commanded the Andover Company at the Battle of Bunker Hill and was later killed by an insane servant. (murdered in his bed by his negro man.)1,2
