     Samuel Stillman Torrence, son of Levi Torrence and Sally Jones, was born on 10 June 1817 at Maine.1

     Samuel, at age 27, son of Levi Torrence and Sally Jones, married Cordella C. Pinkham at age 19, daughter of Thomas Pinkham and Sarah A. Lewis, on 5 December 1844.1

     Samuel Stillman Torrence died on 2 June 1880 at age 62.1

     Samuel and Cordella appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Brewer, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 19 August 1850. Samuel was working as a farmer. Their children, Jane F., Emma A. and Rufus J., and Samuel's father, Levi were listed as living with them.2

     Samuel and Cordella appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Holden, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 6 July 1860. Samuel was a farmer. His real estate was valued at $1000.00, and personal prperty $225.00.. Their children, Jane F., Emma A. and Rufus J. were listed as living with them.3

     Samuel and Cordella appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Holden, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 12 August 1870. Samuel was a farmer. His real estate valued at $1500.00 and personal property at $905.00 Their children, Jane F., Rufus J., Orrin P. and James M. were listed as living with them.4

Joseph Totman, husband of Lucy Burrell
     Joseph Totman, son of Ebenezer Totman and Hannah Binney, was born in December 1811.3

     Joseph, at age 19, son of Ebenezer Totman and Hannah Binney, married Lucy Burrell at age 18, daughter of Stephen Burrell and Clarissa Dyer, on 8 March 1831 at Weymouth, Massachusetts.4,1

     Joseph died at age 77, on 30 May 1889, at Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts, His cause of death was listed as "progressive anemia"3 and was buried at Fairmont Cemetery, Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts.3
