Joseph Henry Burrill, son of Albert Burrill and Martha Ellen Wiggin, was born on 14 June 1873 at Albion, Kennebec, Maine.2
Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. The first registration was for men between the ages of 21 and 31. As a result, this first registration included men born between June 5, 1886 and June 5, 1896. As World War I continued to escalate, the United States instituted a second draft registration. The second registration was for men who had turned 21 since June 5, 1917, so it added men born between June 5, 1896 and June 5, 1897. Two months later, a supplemental registration was held on August 24, 1918 for men who had become 21 years of age since June 5, 1918, adding the names of men who were born between June 5, 1897 and August 24, 1897. With no end in sight for World War I, the United States instituted it's third and final registration. It included all men who were between the ages of 18 and 21, and 31 to 45 years of age. This added younger men than the previous registrations, those who were born between September 12, 1897 and September 12, 1900; and added an older group of men, born between September 12, 1873 and September 12, 1888. Joseph filled out a draft card for World War I on 12 September 1918 (at age 45), while living at Albion, Kennebec, Maine. Unknown GEDCOM info: 12 SEP 1918 He was described as medium height, medium build, grey eyes, and brown hair. At the time he was working for himself as a farmer He was described as height..3
Joseph died at age 69, on 6 July 1942, at China, Kennebec, Maine,4 and was buried at Shaw Cemetery, Albion, Kennebec, Maine.4

"Miss Josephine Dorr Burill Is Bride of Robert E. Kiah" A lovely June bridal was solemnized at noon Saturday in the rectory of St. Teresa Catholic church, South Brewer, by the Rev. The gown was of white silk lansdowne trimmed with old lace, and the veil was caught to a coronet lace cap. Her flowers were a shower bouquet of bride's roses, sweet peas, lilies, and baby's breath. Miss Jean Burnll, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore blue taffeta trimmed in pink with a wide blue straw hat, also trimmed in pink. Her bouquet was of pink rosrs and larkspur. Clarence Kiah attended his brother as best man. Mrs. Harold S. Burrill, the bride's mother, wore sheer figured georgette with a matching light blue picture hat. Mrs. David Kiah, mother of the bridegroom, was gowned in a navy blue two-piece dress with navv blue accessories. Following the ceremony, 'the bridal party and guests went to the bride's home at 32 School street for the wedding reception. A screen interwoven with white lilacs and fir made a lovely background for the bridal party in the receiving line. White lilacs also decorated the serving table. Silver, gold and blue, the bride's sorority colors, were also carried out in the decorations and refreshments. In charge of the guest book was Miss Frances Kiah, and the Misses Maxine Harding and Vera VanTassel presided over the gifts. The wedding cake was made and presented bv Mrs Frank Cowan, and Miss Barbara Cowan cut the bride's cake, after the bride had cut the traditional first slice. Helping with the serving were the Misses June Burrill and Doris Dorr, cousins of the bride, and the Misses Gwendolyn Baker and Zelda Baker, close friends. Miss Kate Fitzgerald caterred. After the reception, the bridal couple left bv motor for a two-week wedding trip to Cape Cod.
