     Flossie M. Harris, daughter of Seymour Mariner Harris and Sarah Burrell, was born on 27 February 1931 at Plantation 14, Washington, Maine.2

     Flossie, at age 34, daughter of Seymour Mariner Harris and Sarah Burrell, married Aubrey R. Jollotta at age 39, son of Joseph A. Jollotta Jr. and Elizabeth McGarvey, on 23 October 1965.3

     Flossie died on 20 November 2009, at Eastport, Washington, Maine, at age 78,1 and was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Eastport, Washington, Maine.1

EASTPORT - Flossie M. Jollotta, 78, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Flossie was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Plantation 14, daughter of the late Seymoure and Elma (Brewster) Harris. She married Aubrey R. Jollotta, Oct. 23, 1965, in Eastport. Flossie was employed for 44 years with Guilford Industries, where she worked on the Model K. She enjoyed traveling and family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, Flossie was predeceased by her husband of more than 42 years, Aubrey Jollotta; and two brothers, Vance Harris, and Burrill Harris and his wife, Elaine.
Surviving are her four children, James Jollotta of Winslow, Barbara Pulk of Pembroke, Dale Jollotta and his wife, Patricia, of Connecticut, and David Jollotta and his companion, Virginia Doucette, of Eastport; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a special sister-in-law, Beverly Jollotta of Sanford; her nephew, Larry Harris and his wife, Cindy, of Orono; and her niece, Beverly Harris. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Mays Funeral Home - Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport, where a celebration of Flossie's life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be after at Hillside Cemetery, Eastport. (Bangor Daily News 11/21/2009)5

     Israel T. Harris, son of William Harris and Jerusha Newbury, was born in February 1830 at Eastport, Washington, Maine.1,2

     Israel, son of William Harris and Jerusha Newbury, married Margaret Anderson, daughter of Lon Anderson, circa 1851.3,4

     There were four civil war drafts that included 776,000 individuals in that time. The records contain class, congressional district, county, state, residence, name, age on July 1, 1863, race, profession, married status, birthplace, former military service, and remarks. Israel was listed on the Draft Log. At the time he was living at Eastport, Washington, Maine. The month of registration was in June 1863.
