     John Shoppe, son of Anthony Schoppe and Phebe Spear, was born on 19 October 1786 at Jonesboro, Washington, Maine.1,3

     John, son of Anthony Schoppe and Phebe Spear, married Elcie Weston, daughter of Josiah Weston and Hannah Watts, circa 1808.4
