     Martha, married Fred Swinson Lovejoy, son of Loriston Hale Lovejoy and Clara Greenlief Page, circa 1887.1

     Martha died at age 80, on 15 July 1949, at Mercy Hospital, Sacramento, Sacramento, California,2,3 and was buried at Rocklin Cemetery, Rocklin, Placer, California.2

     Martha and Fred appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Greenwood, El Dorado, California, enumerated, 23 June 1900. Fred was working as a farmer. They were living next door to Fred's parents.. Their children, Chester C., Alta M., Arthur H., Warren G. and Hazel E. were listed as living with them.4

Martha Jane Lovejoy Rites Are Held Here

Funeral services for Martha Jane Lovejoy, 80, lifelong resident of California, were conducted yesterday afternoon in the chapel of the Broyer Mortuary. Burial was in Rocklin district cemetery. Mrs. Lovejoy, a native of Ione, had resided in Loomis for the past 34 years. She died July 15 in Mercy Hospital, Sacramento. She was the widow of the late Fred F. Lovejoy. Mrs. Lovejoy leaves one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hudgins of Sacramento; three sons, Andrew J. Courtland; Chester C. of Fresno and Warren G. of Roseville. She also leaves six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.2
