     Susanna Cushing was born on 12 September 1792 at Maine.2,3

     Susanna, at age 21, married James Blackwood Jr., son of James Blackwood and Hannah (?), on 15 December 1813.4,5

Census

     She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, James Blackwood Jr., in the 1830 Federal Census of Dennysville, Washington, Maine.6 She was probably the female age 40 to 50 listed in the household of her husband, James Blackwood Jr., in the 1840 Federal Census of Pembroke, Washington, Maine.7

     Susanna and James appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Pembroke, Washington, Maine, enumerated 29 August 1850. James was working as a farmer, his real estate valued at $900.00. Their children, Henry J., Emeline, Sarah and Daniel Webster were listed as living with them.8

     Susanna Cushing appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Pembroke, Washington, Maine, in the household of her daughter, Corrilla Nickerson Blackwood and son in law, Capt. Ira F. Mitchell.9

Capt. Theophilus Cushing, husband of Mary J. Thaxter
     Capt. Theophilus Cushing, son of Daniel Cushing and Lydia Gilman, was born on 7 June 1657 at Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1

     Theophilus, at age 31, son of Daniel Cushing and Lydia Gilman, married Mary Jacob Thaxter at age 21, daughter of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob, on 28 November 1688 at Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.2

     Capt. Theophilus Cushing died on 7 January 1717/18 at Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts, at age 60.1 and was buried at High Street Cemetery, Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.3

     Theophilus left a Will
In his will, dated 3 Jan. 1717-18, gives " to wife Mary, thirty-two shares in the second part of 3d division in Cohasset ; also land at ' Planters' Hill; my quick stock, all my movables, and the improvement of my whole.4
