     There were four civil war drafts that included 776,000 individuals in that time. The records contain class, congressional district, county, state, residence, name, age on July 1, 1863, race, profession, married status, birthplace, former military service, and remarks. Wellington was listed on the Draft Log. At the time he was living at Dedham, Hancock, Maine. The month of registration was in June 1863.3

     Wellington Pinkham Black and Lucinda Johnson were divorced in January 1883 at Penobscot, Maine.4,5

Warren was listed on the Draft Log. At the time he was living at Dedham, Hancock, Maine. The month of registration was in June 1863.3 He began military service on 30 January 1864 at Dedham, Hancock, Maine, Warren was in Company D, 7th Maine, with a rank of "Private."4

     Warren, at age 28, married Emily J. Joy at age 23, daughter of William Joy and Elinor Haynes, on 26 July 1864 at Dedham, Hancock, Maine, by J. L. Parker JP.5,6,7 Warren S. Black ended military service on 11 February 1865 at Dedham, Hancock, Maine; Warren ended his military service with a disability of "acute rheumatism."4

     He sold his house according to the Daily Kennebec Journal on 27 March 1895 to Mr. Thomas Kenney and Warren took rent in the Estes house.8

     Warren S. Black died at age 84, on 22 January 1921, at 5 Howard Street, Brewer, Penobscot, Maine.9

     Henry N. Black, son of Benona Black and Dolly Norton, was born on 22 June 1840 at Maine.1,3

     There were four civil war drafts that included 776,000 individuals in that time. The records contain class, congressional district, county, state, residence, name, age on July 1, 1863, race, profession, married status, birthplace, former military service, and remarks. Henry was listed on the Draft Log. At the time he was living at Dedham, Hancock, Maine. The month of registration was in June 1863.4

     Henry, at age 26, married Ellen M. Perkins at age 20 on 12 May 1867 at Dedham, Hancock, Maine, by William S. Shaw.5,6

     Henry N. Black died at age 79, on 4 June 1920, at Bangor, Penobscot, Maine.3,7

     Henry N. Black was buried at Union Cemetery, Dedham, Hancock, Maine.8
