Martha Gurney, wife of Deaacon William Pratt
     Martha Gurney, daughter of John Gurney and Mehetabel Southworth, was born on 1 July 1784 at Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts.3,1,2

     Martha, at age 20, daughter of John Gurney and Mehetabel Southworth, married Deacon William Pratt at age 25, son of Thaddeus Pratt and Rachel Churchill, on 1 July 1804 by Rev. John Tripp.4,5,6

     Martha and William were 'old Foxcroft' from Hebron. He created an opening on lot #10 in the 4th range, now known as the Goff farm. He erected a house and there spent the remaining years of his life, much esteemed and respected circa 1823.7

     Martha Gurney died on 2 March 1846 at Sebec, Piscataquis, Maine, at age 61.8 and was buried at Foss Cemetery, Sebec, Piscataquis, Maine.9
