Betsey Hanson

     Betsey Hanson was born on 6 March 1792 at Ossipee, New Hampshire.

     Betsey, at age 19, married James Buzzell on 17 February 1812 married by Rev. Mr. Taylor.1 Betsey Hanson and James Buzzell were migrating north to Wellington, Maine. The trip was a lot different at that time considering travelling today. in 1828.2

     Betsey died on 10 January 1850 at Wellington, Piscataquis, Maine, at age 57. Unknown GEDCOM info: 10 JAN 1850 buried in cemetery plot on homestead.

     Betsey and James appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Wellington, Piscataquis, Maine, enumerated 26 August 1850. James was working as a farmer. In addition, it appears their daughter, Olive (and her daughter, Sarah), were also living there. Their children, Henry Wolfe and Oshea were listed as living with them.3
