     Margaret Schoppe, daughter of Ephraim Schoppe and Mary Shorey Emerson, was born on 3 February 1826 at Jonesboro, Washington, Maine.1,3

     Margaret and William Freeman Schoppe filed a marriage intention on 30 March 1847 at Beddington, Washington, Maine.4

     Margaret, at age 21, daughter of Ephraim Schoppe and Mary Shorey Emerson, married William Freeman Schoppe at age 28, son of John Shoppe and Elcie Weston, on 4 May 1847. They were "First Cousins".5
