     Ruth J. Getchell was born on 21 June 1922 at Hermon, Penobscot, Maine.2

     Ruth, at age 18, married Archie Ray Engstrom at age 18, son of Alvin Leon Engstrom and Hattie Vena Jipson, on 7 August 1940 at Maine.1

     Ruth died on 4 January 2006, at age 83,2 and was buried at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, Penobscot, Maine.2

RUTH J ENGSTROM

NEWPORT – Ruth J. Engstrom, 83, died Jan. 4, 2006, at her residence. She was born June 21, 1922, at Hermon, a daughter of Clinton and Blanche (Anctill) Getchell. She was a graduate of Hermon High School. Ruth is survived by two sons and their wives, Stanley and Jean Engstrom and Donald and Linda Engstrom, all of Newport; a daughter, Judith and her husband, Raymond Eldridge, of Stetson; two brothers, Roy Getchell of Brewer and Clayton Getchell of Brownville; two sisters, Grace Parks of Bangor and Rubie King of Hampden; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie; a son, Richard; and a grandson, LeRoy Engstrom. There will be no services at this time. Spring burial will be in the Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
