     Florence died at age 18, on 13 March 1920, at Greenville, Maine, Her cause of death was puerperal eclampsia; (Convulsions and coma that are associated with hypertension, edema, or proteinuria, occurring in a woman immediately following childbirth.)4

     Fred S. Scribner, son of Matthias H. Scribner and Sarah Hollis, was born on 18 November 1838 at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine.1

     Fred, at age 21, son of Matthias H. Scribner and Sarah Hollis, married Alvena Shute on 10 December 1859 at Charleston, Penobscot, Maine.2

     There were four civil war drafts that included 776,000 individuals in that time. Fred was listed on the Draft Log. At the time he was living at Charleston, Penobscot, Maine. The month of registration was in June 1863. He was married, working as a farmer.3

     Fred died on 9 November 1916 at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, at age 77. His cause of death was gangrene; contributing by diabetes.1
