     Mary, married Rev. Hosea Smith, son of Hosea Smith and Abigail Hersey.

     Mary Abigail Damon died on 1 October 18711 and was buried at Smith-Ridge Cemetery, Charlotte, Washington, Maine. Her headstone reads: 'Think of her; speak of her, not as departed, Short is the distance that parts us today. bound us about us the brave and true hearted ... deed that have brightened her way.3'
