     Bertha, at age 25, daughter of Eugene L. Dorr and Flora F. Leach, married Harold Simeon Burrill at age 26, son of Hadley Proctor Burrill and Ella F. Lovejoy, on 8 December 1910 married by Arthur G. Lyon, clergyman, 58 Freemont Street, Bangor, Maine.4,5,6

     Bertha died on 5 May 1968, at Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, at age 83,7,8 and was buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, Penobscot, Maine.9

MRS HAROLD S BURRILL

The death of Mrs. Bertha Dorr Burrill, widow of Harold S. Burrill, occurred Sunday at a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born at Orland, Dec. 10, 1884, daughter of Capt. Eugene L. and Flora (Leach) Dorr and spent her early years there. She was graduated from Bangor High School, Shaw Business College and attended Eastern State Normal School. She taught school until her marriage in 1910 to Harold S Burrill of Dedham. In 1912 they came to Brewer to make their home residing at 32 School Street. Her husband passed away in 1946. A member of the Brewer First Congregational Church she was affiliated with The King’s Daughters Circle of that church the Parish Circle the Missionary Group and was a former member of the Homemakers Group. She was also a member of the Women’s MPM Literary Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Robert E. Kiah (Josephine), Mrs. Edward H. Moore (Jean); two sons Hadley P. Burrill and Harold S. Burrill Jr., several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at The First Congregational Church, Brewer, Tuesday at 2 pm. Friends may call at the Clark-Mitchell Funeral Home, 299 Union St., Bangor, today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.13
