     Capt. Daniel Hall, son of Jeremiah Hall and Judith (?), was born on 12 August 1805 at Rumford, Oxford, Maine.3,4

     Daniel, at age 22, son of Jeremiah Hall and Judith (?), married Sarah R. Lovejoy at age 20, daughter of Hezekiah Lovejoy and Hannah Atkins, on 3 January 1828.1

     Daniel died on 5 April 1886 at Peru, Oxford, Maine, at age 80.5 and was buried at Dickvale Cemetery, Dickvale, Oxford, Maine.5

     Daniel and Sarah appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Peru, Oxford, Maine, enumerated 1 August 1850. Daniel was a farmer, his real estate valued at $1600.00. They had a Jacob Lovejoy, age 23, in their home. Their children, Emeline Adelia, Atwell R., Daniel Everett, Judith Ann, Henry Dexter, Jeremiah Herbert and Hezekiah Albert were listed as living with them.6

     Daniel appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Peru, Oxford, Maine, enumerated 29 June 1860. Daniel was a farmer, his real estate valued at $2000.00 and real property $645.00. Daniel was a widower at the time. He had two children, Adriann Lovejoy, age 11 and Hannah Lovejoy, age 8 in the home. Their children, Judith Ann were listed as living with them His children Emeline Adelia, Henry Dexter, Jeremiah Herbert and Hezekiah Albert were listed as living with them.7

     Ethel Alberta Hall, daughter of John Amial Hall and Nellie Jane Danforth, was born on 25 August 1885 at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine.2

     Ethel, at age 22, daughter of John Amial Hall and Nellie Jane Danforth, married Philip S. Coffin at age 28, son of Charles M. Coffin and Caroline H. Cookson, on 31 August 1907 at Charleston, Penobscot, Maine.3,4,5

     On 11 December 1959 Ethel sent a letter to Alice . Ethel says she will be going to and "Old Age" home. Also, the different events done there on a daily basis. She speaks of Frank Burgess' death and Annie Kenny's death.6

     On 3 August 1960 Ethel sent a letter to Alice . At Rockland, Knox, Maine.6

     Ethel died on 20 August 1960, at Rockland, Maine, at age 74,7 and was buried at Gray Cemetery, Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine.8

     Ethel and Philip appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Orono, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 15 April 1910. Philip was working as a laborer in a pulp and paper mill Their daughter, Pauline M. were listed as living with them..10

     Ethel and Philip appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Dover, Piscataquis, Maine, enumerated 15 January 1920. Philip listed his occupation as a 'car repairer' in the ''car shop'. Their children, Pauline M., Charles P. and Phyllis were listed as living with them.11

     Ethel and Philip appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine, enumerated 24 April 1930. Philip owned his own home, his real estate valued at $1500.00. He worked as a mill wright. Their children, Pauline M., Charles P. and Phyllis were listed as living with them.12

     Ethel appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bath, Sagadahoc, Maine, at 21 Valley Road, enumerated 17 April 1940. Ethel was listed as a widow. On April 01, 1935, she was living in Dover Foxcroft. They gad a jodger. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.13

ETHEL A. COFFIN

Ethel A. Coffin, 74, widow of Philip Coffin died Aug 20 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Philip Bradley, in Rockland. She was born in Bradford Aug 25 1885 the daughter of Miles and Nellie Danforth Hall. She was graduated from Higgins Classical Institute and taught school in Charleston. She was a member of the Free Baptist Church, the WCTU, and of the Educational Club. Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Bradley of Rockland; one half brother, Henry Smith of Dover Foxcroft; one grandson, Robert Bradley, two neices and one nephew. Services were held at the Burpee Funeral Home in Rockland, the Rev. J. Charles MacDonald officiating. Bural was in the Gray Cemetery.14
