Beverly Knowlton Engaged To Wed At Dover-Foxcroft

DOVER-FOXCROFT Dec 18- Mr. and Mrs. Carroll H. Knowlton of Dover-Foxcroft announce the engagement of their daughter, Beverly Elaine, to Dale F. Carsley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Carsley of Newport, Maine. Miss Knowlton graduated from Foxcroft Academy in the class of 1955 and attended the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. Mr. Carsley graduated trom Newport High school in the class of 1950. He is presently employed a a meat manager for the A&P Company in Newport. A January wedding is planned.2


     Beverly, at age 20, daughter of Carroll H. Knowlton and Florence M. Judkins, married Dale F. Carsley on 19 January 1957 at Maine.3

     Beverly died on 13 March 2017, at Piscataquis, Maine, at age 80,4 and was buried at Dover Cemetery, Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine.5

Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine,
DOVER-FOXCROFT & NEWPORT— Beverly Carsley, 80, passed away March 13, 2017 surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born January 9, 1937 in Dexter, a daughter of Carroll and Florence (Judkins) Knowlton.
Beverly graduated with high honors from Foxcroft Academy Class of 1955 where she was a member of the National Honor Society and student council and graduated from nursing school at Eastern Maine General in Bangor. She was an LPN at Plummer Memorial Hospital in Dexter for many years. She began her career in banking in 1972 and retired from People’s Heritage Bank in Newport. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dover-Foxcroft and was a Cub Scout pack leader in Newport.
Beverly is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Shawn and Gina of Rockingham, NC, Kerry and Angela, and Jay and Tatiana, all of Newport; grandsons, Dale R. Carlsey and girlfriend Danielle Dube of Newport, Michael and wife Arianna Bjork of Carmel, Aleksander and Zarek Carsley of Newport; her loving sister, Linda and husband Kenneth Hews of Bowerbank and The Villages, FL; 2 nephews , Jeff and wife Jane Knowlton of Milton, NH and Ryan Hews of Princeton, NJ; 3 nieces and their husbands, Kathy and Mark Kinney of Atkinson, Loretta and Lewis Nuite of Atkinson, Heather and Chris Caponi of Brookfield, WI; several great and great great nieces and nephews; and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Roger Knowlton; sister, Carolyn Doore; and nephew Jared Knowlton.
Her joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and weekends at Sebec Lake with her sister Linda and family. Her nephew Ryan was special to her because of the time he spent with her enhancing her life experiences.
Spring burial will be in the Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
