ELSIE SMITH

MARION - Mrs. Elsie Smith, 84, died Oct. 12 in a Calais nursing home. She was born at Plantation 14, Dec. 7, 1888, the daughter of Charles and Eva (Preston) Smith. Surviving are: three sons, Carl of Calais, Philip and Leonard of Dennysville; a daughter, Mrs. George (Esther) Lund, Lisbon; two brothers, Eben Smith, Calais, and Charles Smith, California; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Maker, Pit. 14, and Mrs. Wilfred (Rose) Farrar, Calais; seven grandchildren and several great - grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Everett L. Scott and Sons Funeral Home, Calais, Monday at.l p.m. with the Rev. Roy Pike officiating. Burial will be in Marion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4, and 7 to 9p.m.11
