     Cordella C. Pinkham, daughter of Thomas Pinkham and Sarah A. Lewis, was born on 15 April 1825 at Washington, Maine.1

     Cordella, at age 19, daughter of Thomas Pinkham and Sarah A. Lewis, married Samuel Stillman Torrence at age 27, son of Levi Torrence and Sally Jones, on 5 December 1844.1

     Cordella C. Pinkham died in June 1895 at age 70.1

     Edith Marion Pinkham, daughter of Herbert Leslie Pinkham and Lucia Amina Worthing, was born on 20 November 1895 at Palermo, Maine.1,2

     Edith, at age 62, daughter of Herbert Leslie Pinkham and Lucia Amina Worthing, married Clifford Loring Burrill at age 69, son of Hadley Proctor Burrill and Ella F. Lovejoy, on 7 June 1958.3,1

     Edith died on 30 April 1980, at Waterville, Kennebec, Maine, at age 84,4,5 and was buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, Penobscot, Maine.6

A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.8

MRS EDITH M BURRILL

CHINA — Mrs. Edith M. Burrill, 84, died April 30, 1980 at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. She was born Nov. 20, 1895, in Palermo the daughter of Herbert and Lucia (Worthing) Pinkham. She was married to Clifford L. Burrill who died in 1967 was a graduate of Cony High School in the class of 1915, attended Castine Normal School and completed nurses training at Augusta General Hospital in the class of 1927. She worked as an RN with Dr. Forrest Badger at of private hospital in Winthrop was surgical supervisor at Augusta Generdl Hospital and did private duty nursing in the central Maine area until her retirement in 1958, was an active member of the' Brewer Congregational Church and the China Baptist Church and was also active in the China library Association and the China Historical Society. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 pm at the China Baptist Church, Friends may call at the Lowry Brothers Funeral Home 107 Main St., Fairfield, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the China Baplist Church or the Mid Maine Regional Cancer Center fn care of the funeral home.9
