Increase Pond, son of Ephraim Pond and Michal Mann, was born on 15 November 1742 at Wrentham, Massachusetts.1
Increase, at age 27, son of Ephraim Pond and Michal Mann, married Huldah Healey at age 18 on 8 March 1770 at Wrentham, Norfolk, Massachusetts.3
Increase Pond was in Military Service in 1775 He served eight months in 1775 under his brother, Capt. Oliver Pond, Col. Joseph Read; was in camp at Ticonderoga, under Capt. Lewis Whiting, August 27, 1776. Enlisted under Capt. John Bradley, Col. Benjamin Gill, for service in the Northern department, Aug. 1777. Corporal under Capt. Jacob Hawkins, Col. John Jacobs, one year from Jan. 1, 1778. Was one of the six months men who marched from Wrentham June 5, 1780, to Springfield, and July 21, 1780 from Springfield camp to reinforce the army under Capt. Isaac Pope; then registered as five feet three inches in height, of ' a ruddy complexion.4'
Increase died on 22 March 1807 at Brewer, Penobscot, Maine, at age 64.5 and was buried at Wrentham Center Cemetery, Wrentham, Norfolk, Massachusetts.6
