     Arianna (Arie) Saville Cowing, daughter of Daniel Cowing and Rachel Ann Blaisdell, was born on 9 December 1846 at Dedham, Hancock, Maine.3,4

     Arianna, at age 23, daughter of Daniel Cowing and Rachel Ann Blaisdell, married Alfred Blood Burrill at age 24, son of William Gordon Burrill and Elsie Buck Blood, on 2 July 1870 at Dedham, Hancock, Maine, by Rev. James Wells.5

HOLDEN Feb. 16— Funeral service for Mrs. Arie S. Burrill, 86, widow Alfred B. Burrill were held at the residence Rev. Lewis E. Distant officiating. William Mitchell of Bucksport sang. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The bearers we cousins, Harold and Leslie Burrill of Bangor, Robert McKay and Willie Cunningham of Bar Harbor and Leland Cowing of Nicolin She was the daughter of Daniel and Rachael Blaisdell Cowing. She had been confined to her bed about three years. Surviving are a brother and sister, John F. Cowing of Ellsworth and Mrs. Bertha MacLaughlin of Quincy, Mass., two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude B. Pond and Maud E. B. Webber of Newport who have tenderly cared for her. She also leaves 13 nieces and six nephews cousins grand-nieces and nephews. She was a student at Bucksport seminary in her earlier years and taught school until her marriage. She was a member of the Three Quarter Century club a faithful and devoted wife and beloved by all who knew her.16
