     Charlotte Christine Ackerman was born on 4 November 1911 at Woodworth, Stutsman, North Dakota.1

     As of 6 November 1931,her married name was Nystrom.1

     Charlotte married Henry Victor Nystrom, son of Eric Axel Nystrom and Augusta Nilsdotter, on 6 November 1931, at Cook, Illinois.1

     Charlotte died on 22 March 2007, at Arizona, at age 95. Her remains were cremated.2

Census

     Charlotte and Henry appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook, Illinois, at 5843 School Street, enumerated 5 April 1940. Henry was a chewing gum salesman. They were renting, paying $20.00 a month. Their children, Karl Henry and Kathryn Marie were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.3

Charlotte Christine Nystrom,

95, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2007. She was born November 4, 1911 in Woodworth, N.D. to Anton and Leopoldine Ackerman. In 1982 she moved from Chicago to Phoenix where she spent the last 25 years surrounded by family and friends who cherished her. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Karl and Joan Nystrom, of Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin and daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Carl Baardsen, of Scottsdale. She is also survived by one of her sisters, Julia, from Chicago. Her beloved husband, Henry, preceeded her in death in 1977. "Nanny" loved her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her legacy and love for life continues through her family. A private family gathering will be held at the family home in memory of this strong, faithful woman who always had an amazing spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Michael's Garden (in honor of her great grandson, Kyle Morgan), 10215 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85051 or Hospice of the Valley, 9494 E.
