     Emma Christina Johnson, daughter of Jan Henrik Jonsson and Johanna Larsdotter, was born on 12 June 1875 at Ransäter, Värmland, Sverige.1

     Emma appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook, Illinois, enumerated 7 April 1930. Emma was working as a saleslady at a cut glass store. She was a widow and owned her home valued at $5000.00. She had a radio set in the home. She had two boarders, Ellen Johnson, Anna Kirkehei, both age 30 in the home. Her son, Delmar Andrew was listed as living with them.11
