     Eleanor V. Lelo was born on 14 March 1920 at Unionville, Michigan.1

     Eleanor married Floyd Arthur Bergstrom, son of Emil Otto Bergstrom and Agnes Uppstrom, on 22 February 1952, at St Brigid, Midland, Michigan.1,2

     Her married name was Bergstrom.1

     Eleanor died on 8 May 2014, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Lakewood, Colorado, at age 94,1 and was buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Oakland, Michigan.3

Obituary

Eleanor V. (Lelo) Bergstrom, 94, passed away May 8, 2014, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, Colo. She had moved to Golden, Colo. in December 2012, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Eleanor was born March 14, 1920, in Unionville, the daughter of the late Walter and Benedicta (Ozerajtys) Lelo, graduating from Saginaw High School in 1938. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in 1942. After graduation, she began working in Detroit. During World War II, she served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps at military hospitals in the U.S. and in England. After the war, she worked at Midland Hospital, and on Feb. 22, 1952, she married Floyd A. Bergstrom, who preceded her in death in 2009. Eleanor was a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Church, active in the Altar Society, and for a period of time served as school nurse for Blessed Sacrament School. She had a lifelong interest in crafts including pottery and, most notably, rug hooking, frequently attending shows and workshops in Michigan and other midwest locations. She was a member of the local rug hooking group, now known as Middle of the Mitt Rug Hookers Eleanor is survived by her sons, Michael (Mary D.) Bergstrom of Littleton, Colo. and James (Linda) Bergstrom of Westminster, Colo; and her grandchildren, Mark, Erin and Erik. She is also survived by her sister, Alma (Midge) Schmidt of Saginaw; and nephews, James, Jack, Herbert and Walter Lelo, all from the Tri-City area. A memorial liturgy will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Eleanor's family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 7-8:30 p.m., and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Military honors will be presented by the Midland Area Veterans at the Tuesday visitation.      Henry along with other members of the Flatlands Engine Company No ! celabrated the arrival of their new engine yesterday afternoon with a grand parade. on 24 November 1888 at Canarsie, Kings, New York.5

     Henry married Ella Radcliffe on 31 December 1889.6,7

     Henry died on 9 September 1900, at East 96th Street, Canarsie, Kings, New York, at age 40.8
