     Stella, married Louis Edward Ziegler, son of Frank W. Ziegler and Mary Frederikke Svendsen, circa 1933.1

     Stella died on 10 December 2013, at Estelline, South Dakotaa, at age 99.2

Stella Mary Miller Ziegler, 99

Stella Mary (Miller) Ziegler, daughter of Elmer and Margaret (Cooney) Miller, was born March 18, 1914 in Brook Park, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Louis Ziegler in 1933 and he died in 1981. She moved to Estelline, South Dakota in 1993. Stella died on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at her home in Estelline at the age of 99 years. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved to crochet afghans family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and had a wonderful sense of humor. Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters, Alice Reger and her husband Don of Mountain Home, AR, Mailyn Tierney and her husband Pete of Cypress, CA; one son Louis Ziegler, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Estelline; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister Eileen Brunz of Blue Earth, MN; and a host of other relatives and friends. Stella was preceded in death by her husband Louis; one son, Richard in 2010; one brother Alvin Miller; and three sisters, Harriet Miller, Pearl Kappel and Gladys Gorder.2

     Lynda J. Milliken was born on 8 June 1891 at Eden, Hancock, Maine.1

     Lynda married Carl Helge Peterson, son of Nils Fredrik Pettersson and Karolina Svensson, in 1918, at Boston, Massachusetts.1 Lynda J. Milliken witnessed the death of Lynda J. Milliken in 19812 and was buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Seneca, Ontario, New York.2

Census

     Lynda and Carl appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, at Belmont Ave, enumerated 5 January 1920. Carl was a chauffer for a private family.3

     Lynda appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Bar Harbor, Hancock, Maine, at Eagle Lake Road, enumerated 3 May 1930. Lynda, now a widow, owned her home, valued at $1500.00. She was working as a sales lady Her children, Paul Wesson and Gilman Allyn were listed as living with her.4

     Lynda appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bar Harbor, Hancock, Maine, at Eagle Lake Road, enumerated 2 April 1940. Linda was a widow at this time. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.5

     Jack Holland Mitchell was born on 27 February 1927 at Houston, Harris, Texas.1

     Jack married Evelyn M. Elder, daughter of Charles Wictor Elder and Elin Kristina Östholm, on 19 November 1949, at Jackson, Missouri.2

     Jack died on 16 February 2008, at Abilene, Taylor, Texas, at age 80,3 and was buried at Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene, Taylor, Texas.4

Jack Holland Mitchell

Abilene, Texas - Jack Holland Mitchell, 80, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008, at a local nursing home. Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy. 277 South. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rob Nichols officiating; burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Jack was born on February 27, 1927 in Houston, TX to Claude and Margaret Mitchell. He was raised in Kansas City, MO with his mom and step dad D. L. Gunnels. He served in the United States Navy. He married Evelyn Elder on November 23, 1949 and they had two daughters, Linda and Cheryl. In 1957 they moved to Abilene. He was a mason and a golfer. In 1963 he and a friend started the Model A Club. Jack was a craftsman of many things, jewelry faceting, stained glass, woodworking, building furniture, wood carving, and working with leather. He also enjoyed music and could play many instruments and he enjoyed restoring old instruments. He and Evelyn also bought and sold antiques. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Mitchell; two daughters, Linda Mitchell and Cheryl and husband, Gary Ellison; two grandsons and their wives, Shawn and Brylee Ellison and Danny and Stephanie Ellison; two granddaughters, Emily Foster and Kalie Ellison; and three great-grandchildren, Abby, Emma and Tyler Ellison.4
