     Charles married Margaret Stonebarger, daughter of Adam Stonebarger and Sarah Zug, circa 1859.

     Charles died on 12 January 1898, at Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois, at age 73,1 and was buried at Greenup Cemetery, Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois.1

Jeanette Peters, wife of James Ward Van Dyke
     Jennette Peters, daughter of Charles H. Peters and Margaret Stonebarger, was born on 1 October 1860 at Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois.1

     Jennette married James Ward Van Dyke, son of John Van Dyke and Margaret Hazelwood, on 9 May 1880, at Cumberland, Illinois.1

     Jennette and James were in this photograph which was taken circa May 1898 at Illinois.2

     Jennette was in this photograph, with children, James Ward Van Dyke, George Dewey Van Dyke, Walter Scott Van Dyke and Golda Van Dyke.3

     Jennette died on 22 December 1946, at age 86,4 and was buried at Greenup Cemetery, Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois.4

     Jennette and James appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Green, Cumberland, Illinois, enumerated 22 June 1900 James was working as a farmer.. Their children, Dorsey Clinton, Isaac B., Golda, James Clinton, Franklin, Edgar and George Dewey were listed as living with them.6

     Jennette and James appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois, enumerated 2 May 1910. James was a farmer on a general farm. Their children, Isaac B., Edgar, George Dewey and Walter Scott were listed as living with them..7

     Jennette and James appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois, enumerated 9 January 1920. James was a dairy and grain farmer. Their children, Isaac B., James Clinton and Walter Scott were listed as living with them.8

     Jennette and James appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois, enumerated 15 April 1930. James was working as a farmer. He owned his farm valued at $6500.00 Their children, Isaac B. were listed as living with them.9

Obituary

Mrs. Jeanette Van Dyke, 86, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday morning in Reid Memorial Hospital in that city. The deceased had been a resident of Greenup, Illinois most of her life until 10 years ago when she moved to Richmond to live with her son, Dr. George D. Van Dyke. The body was brought to Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup and will be taken to Greenup Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. today, at which time graveside funeral services will be held. Mrs. Van Dyke had recovered from a month's long illness sufficiently to be out of bed Thursday but on that day she broke her hip in a fall and was taken to the hospital where she passed away. Her husband, James W. Van Dyke of Greenup, preceded her in death in 1933. Survivors are Walter of Casey, Illinois, George D. of Richmond, Indiana, James(Jim) of of Greenup; two daughters, Mrs. Golda Crutcher of Los Angeles and Mrs. Pearl Shoe of Peach Orchard, Arkansas.3
