     Truman A. Rogers was born on 17 November 1924.2

     Truman, at age 22, married Irene Lyons at age 20, daughter of John Edward Meade and Ellen Cleary, on 15 January 1947, at Oyster Bay, Nassau, New York.1

     Truman died on 3 May 1975, at Nassau, New York, at age 50,3 and was buried at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, Nassau, New York.4

— Truman A of Glen Cove, on May 3, 1975. Survived by his wife; Irene. Devoted father of Nancy, Mary Jane, Michael and Truman Jr. Son of Truman and Mary Louise Rogers of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Brother of Peggy Angleton, Joyce Russell, Donald and Richard Rogers. Reposing at Kramer Mortuary, 220 Glen St., Glen Cove. Funeral Tuesday May 6th, Mass of Christian Burial St Patrick's Church, 10 AM. Interment LI National Cemetery.

Truman A Rogers Nassau County Detective

Glen Cove— Services will be held tomorrow for Truman A. Rogers, 50, a retired Nassau County detective who died at his home here Saturday. Rogers who lived at 31 Stillman Rd was a member of the Sixth Squad and later the forgery Squad before his retirement in 1964 because of illness. During World War II he served in the Marines and was with the troops that landed at Iwo Jima. He is survived by his wife, Irene, two daughters, Nancy and Mary Jane, two sons, Truman in of East Northport and Michael and his parents, Truman and Mary of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Services at 10 AM at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Glen Cove; burial in Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn.5,3
