     Emma died on 16 October 1901, at Huntington, Suffolk, New York, at age 53,1 and was buried at Huntington Rural Cemetery, Huntington, Suffolk, New York.1

     Emma and John appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Huntington, Suffolk, New York, at Park Avenue, enumerated 6 June 1900 John was working as a teamster. Their children, Wilber John were listed as living with them.4

Mrs. Emma Carr

Huntington, L. I., October 18 -- Mrs. Emma Carr, wife of John S. Carr, died at her home here Wednesday night, aged 53 years. She leaves six children. Mrs. Carr was an active member of the Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock, the Rev. A. H. Wyatt officiating. She was an officer in Jephtha's Daughter Chapter, O. E. S., and the lodge will have charge of the services at the grave.5
