     Martha, at age 25, married Thomas Cowing at age 25, son of Calvin Cowing, on 4 July 1814.

     Martha died on 11 December 1867, at Dedham, Hancock, Maine, at age 79,1 and was buried at Central Cemetery, Dedham, Hancock, Maine.3

     She was probably the female age 40 to 50 listed in the household of her husband, Thomas Cowing, in the 1840 Federal Census.4
