     Irving, at age 19, married Veletta (Lettie) Lee 20, daughter of Nehemiah Lee and Louise Kate Stone, on 21 May 1903.1

     Irving Amial Hall created a will on 7 April 1932 Irving's "Last Will and Testament" was stated as follows:

"That I, Irving A. Hall of Dover Foxcroft in the county of Piscataquis and the State of Maine.... FIRST: I intentionally omit making any bequest or devise to my daughter Evelyn M. Hall, having full confidence that my wife, if she survive me, will make proper provision for her. SECOND: I give, bequeath, and devise to my beloved wife, Lettie Lee Hall, all of the property which I may own, or of which I have the right to dispose, at the time of my decease, real, personal, or mixed, wherever the same may be situate and however and whenever acquired; to have and to hold unto her and her heirs and assigns forever. THIRD: I name, constitute, and appoint my said wife, Lettie Lee Hall, to be sole executrix of this, my last will and testament, and I request that no bond be required of her. In Testamony Whereof, I hereunto set my hand, this seventh day of April in the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two. SIGNED: Irving A. Hall


An inventory of Irving's holdings included $300.00 in real estate (wood lot) and $150.00 in goods and chattels (one automobile).5

     Irving Amial Hall died at age 54, on 22 August 1938, at Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine. His cause of death was listed as suicide by hanging.6,7,8 He was buried in North Atkinson Cemetery at Range Road, Atkinson, Piscataquis, Maine.9

     With no end in sight for World War I, the United States instituted it's third and final registration. It included all men who were between the ages of 18 and 21, and 31 to 45 years of age. This added younger men than the previous registrations, those who were born between September 12, 1897 and September 12, 1900; and added an older group of men, born between September 12, 1873 and September 12, 1888. Irving Amial Hall filled out a draft card, on 12 September 1918 South Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine. He was described as medium height, stout build, blue eyes, and brown hair. At the time he was working in the restaurant.12

     Irving and Veletta appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Foxcroft Town, Piscataquis, Maine, enumerated 21 January 1920 Irving listed his work as a manager of a candy store. Lettie was a homemaker.. Their children Evelyn Marguerite were listed as living with them.13

     Irving and Veletta appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine, enumerated 4 April 1930, Irving listed his work as a manager of a lunch room. Lettie was kept busy as a homemaker. Their real estate was valued at $6000.00.. Their children Evelyn Marguerite were listed as living with them.14

Mary Elizabeth Leathers, wife of Philip A. Danforth
     Mary Elizabeth Leathers, daughter of Moses Leathers and Sarah Adeline Horn, was born on 17 October 1845 at Maine.2

     Mary, at age 16, married Philip Augustus Danforth 23, son of Philip Danford and Rhoda Smith, on 22 October 1861 at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, by C. L. Cary.

     Mary Elizabeth Leathers was a cograntor with Philip Augustus Danforth in the sale of 10 acres from the Southwest corner of lot numbered one hundred and ninty-seven survey to commence at the Southwest corner of said Lot 197, and run East forty rods on the South line of said Lot 197. Thense forty rods Northerly parallel with the West lineof said Lot 197. Thence, Westerly forty rods so as to intersect the West line of said Lot 197. forty rods from the first mentioned bound thense forty rods Southerly on the West line of said Lot No. 197 to the first mentioned bounds containing ten acres and the same this day to said Danforth at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, to William B. Lovett on 3 October 1868. The deed was witnessed by Geo F. Hill and proved by Amos E Hardy at Registry of Deeds, Bangor, Penobscot, Maine.3

     On 23 November 1879, Mary sent a letter to Philip. He tells Lizzie how good it is to hear from her. Philip also provides Lizzie some guidance, even though he is far away.4

     Mary Elizabeth Leathers was a cograntor with Philip Augustus Danforth in the sale of a certain lot or parcel of land situated in Bradford aforesaid and described as follows, to wit. the Easterly twenty-five acres of lot numbered one hundred and eighty-five (185) as laid down on a plan of said town of Bradford made by Andrew Strongs survey dated August 28th 1822. at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, on 22 June 1897. The deed was witnessed by T. R. Wentworth and Charles Weatherbee Danforth and proved by John T. Power at Bangor, Penobscot, Maine.5

     Mary Elizabeth Leathers died at age 70, on 20 September 1916, at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine. Mary died from "acute nephrites" (Acute nephritis is an inflammation of the glomeruli (the main functioning units of the kidney which comprise of tissues and blood vessels.)6,7,8 She was buried in Williams Cemetery at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine.9,10

     Mary Elizabeth Leathers left a will on 8 November 1916 at Bradford, Penobscot, Maine.11

     Mary and Philip appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 17 June 1880, Philip listed his occupation as a farmer. Mary was listed as keeping house.. Their children Nellie Jane, Alberta Alice, Rose E., Philip Leroy, Annie May and Charles Weatherbee were listed as living with them..15

     Mary and Philip appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 20 June 1900 Philip was working as a farmer on his farm. Their children, Charles Weatherbee were listed as living with them.16

     Mary and Philip appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 6 May 1910, The family lived on the Center Road.. Their son Charles Weatherbee was listed as living with them. Their daughter-in-law and grandson Ruth M. and Clyde Ellwood were also listed as living with them.17 Mary's obituary read as follows:
"Mrs. Elizabeth Leathers Danforth, widow of the late Augustus Danforth died at her home in Bradford Wednesday from an attack of accute indigestion. Mrs Danforth was born in Bradford 70 years ago, and lived there all her life. Mr. Danforth's death occured a year ago. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs, S. H. Smith of Charleston, Mrs. D. A. Tewksbury of Bradford, Mrs. James Mulvaney, Mrs. Anne Withee of Bangor; two sons Philip L. Danforth and Charles W. Danforth of Bradford. A woman of fine personality, gentle, willing and gracious, hers is a loss which will be keenly felt by all who knew her. A devoted wife and tender mother, a loyal friend and kindly neighbor hers was a life so lived as to endear her to all, and leaves vacant in home, in church and social life a place not to be filled. The funeral services will take place Friday afternoon at the late residence in Bradford."9
