     Anna Lewis Clark was born on 11 April 1803 at Pembroke, Washington, Maine.3

     Anna, married Rev. William L. Smith, son of Hosea Smith and Abigail Hersey, circa 1828.

     Anna Lewis Clark died on 23 January 1885 at age 81.4 and was buried at Heart Pond Cemetery, South Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts.5

     She was probably the female age 20 to 30 listed in the household of her husband, Rev. William L. Smith, in the 1840 Federal Census of Charlotte, Washington, Maine.6

     Anna and William appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Charlotte, Washington, Maine, enumerated 26 September 1850. William was working as a farmer and his real estate valued at $1800.00. Their children, William L., John S., Lovina L., Stephen C. F., George F., Susan C. and Lyman G. were listed as living with them.7

     Anna and William appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Charlotte, Washington, Maine, enumerated 29 June 1860. William was working as a farmer. His real estate valued at $1000.00 and personal property at $400.00. Their children, Stephen C. F., George F., Susan C., Lyman G. and Lovina L. were listed as living with them.8

     Anna Lewis Clark, along with her husband, William appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Charlotte, Washington, Maine, in the household of their son, William and wife Sarah.9
