, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett M. Bogardus of Longmeadow, Mass., and Mr. Edward B. Burrill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Burrill, 2025 Kenwood parkway, will take place July 3 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bogardus. Mrs. Burrill and her son left Thursday for the east to remain until after the wedding. Miss Barbara Harrlck of Cincinnati, Ohio, cousin of the bride-elect, will be her only attendant and Mr. Maxwell B. Bogardus will attend Mr. Burrill as best man. A wedding reception will follow the ceremony. Mr. Burrill and his bride will motor throusrh the eastern states on their wedding trip and will be at home at 2025 Kenwood parkway after July 20. Miss Bogardua is a. graduate of Lasell Junior college at Auburndale, Mass., and Mr. Burrill is a graduate ot Dartmouth college and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.-.1,2,4


     Jean died on 31 October 1996, at Apple Valley, Dakota, Minnesota,5 and was buried at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota.5

     Jean and Edward appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, enumerated 10 April 1940. Edward was a salesman for an oil refinery. They had a maid, Ethel Teski, age 19, in the home. Their daughters, Nancy and Marcia were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.6

Abraham Abram Bolster, husband of Bathsheba House
     Abraham Bolster, son of Isaac Bolster Jr. and Mary Dwinel, was born on 25 August 1763.1

     Abraham, son of Isaac Bolster Jr. and Mary Dwinel, married Bathsheba House circa 1783 They originally settled in Paris, Maine.2

     Abraham was an industrious, hardworking man and accumulated a large property, but became involved in debt by too extravagant building and was obliged to give up his farm. He decided to try pioneer life in 'Old Foxcroft' and purchased lot #4 in the 4th range after 1820.2

     Abraham died at age 79, on 23 July 1843,3 and was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Easton, Aroostook, Maine.3

     General Alvan Bolster, son of Isaac Bolster and Hannah Cushman, was born on 7 December 1795.
He was the son of Isaac Bolster, Jr. and Hannah Cushman. He arrived in Rumford, Maine as a young man and married Cynthia Wheeler. He engaged in trade, was a farmer, and inn keeper. He held the position of Postmaster in East Rumford for thirty years. Military affairs were of great interest to him, and he joined the militia serving in the Light Infantry. He was commissioned as Ensign May 8, 1821, Lt. Colonel November 27, 1830. Later he was promoted to command a division and commissioned Major General by the Governor of State of Maine. He was a leader in the Sons of Temperance movement and an active Free Mason. He held numerous public offices, serving as Representative in the State Legislature and twice was elected State Senator.1


     Alvan, son of Isaac Bolster and Hannah Cushman, married Cynthia Wheeler.1

     General Alvan Bolster died on 8 December 1862 at age 67.1 and was buried at East Rumford Cemetery, Rumford, Oxford, Maine.2
