Hannah Cook, Wife of Daniel Smith Jr.
     Hannah Cook, daughter of John Cook and Lydia Garnett, was born on 1 February 1795 at New Brunswick, Canada.3

     Hannah, at age 21, daughter of John Cook and Lydia Garnett, married Daniel Smith Jr. at age 23, son of Daniel Smith Sr. and Chloe Kingman, on 4 February 1816.4

     Hannah Cook died on 3 May 1874 at Marion, Washington, Maine, at age 79.5 and was buried at Marion Cemetery, Marion, Washington, Maine.6

Census

     She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, Daniel Smith Jr., in the 1830 Federal Census of Edmunds, Washington, Maine.7

     Hannah and Daniel appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Whitneyville, Washington, Maine, enumerated 5 September 1850. Daniel worked as a laborer. His real estate was valued at $400.00. They had a Laura E. Simpson living with them. Their children, Samuel T., Achsah A., Horatio Macomber and Atarasta were listed as living with them.8

     Hannah Cook, with her husband, Daniel appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Marion, Washington, Maine, in the household of their son, Samuel and his wife, Elizabeth A. Reed.9

     Hannah and Daniel appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Marion, Washington, Maine, enumerated 11 June 1870. Unknown GEDCOM info: 11 JUN 1870 Daniel was listed as being retired labor and Hannah was keeping house.10,11
