JOHN R SMITH

CHARLESTON — An old and respected citizen, John Roscoe Smith, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Eugenia Treadwell. He was born in Charleston and spent the greater part of his life in that town. His death, in his 75th year occurred at the old homestead where four generations were born. He has worked in various places where he made many friends. His wife passed away 26 years ago and one of his sons passed away in Texas about eight years ago. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Myra Hatch, Mrs. Eugenia Treadwell and Mrs. Elsie French; two sons Leslie Smith and Cleveland Smith 16 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren besides distant relatives. The funeral was held at the home of his daughter Mrs. TreadwelL7
