     Thomas F. Hodgdon, son of John Hodgdon and Paulina Freeman, was born on 1 August 1841 at Milo, Piscataquis, Maine.1,2

     Thomas, son of John Hodgdon and Paulina Freeman, married Mary E. Cross, daughter of William Cross and Eliza Hassell, after 1860.1

     Thomas F. Hodgdon began Civil War military service on 29 July 1862 He was assigned to Company B, 20th Maine. Thomas had the rank of Corporal, discharged, 14 Jun 1865. He had incurred a disability of wound in his right arm.3

     Thomas, at age 55, son of John Hodgdon and Paulina Freeman, married Katharine G. Maxwell on 1 December 1896 at Milo, Piscataquis, Maine.4

Know all men by these presents, that I Thomas F. Hodgdon of Milo in the County of Piscataquis and the State of Maine being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament, after the payment of my just debts funeral expenses and bills of adminstration I dispose all my estate real and personal as follows I give and devise to my wife Katharine G. Hodgdon my homestead and lot and all appurtenances thereunto belonging also any other real estate that I may own at the time of my decease. I give a bequeath to my wife said Katharine G. all my household furniture and all the personal estate of every kind and description which I may possess at my decease, meaning hereby to give devise and bequeath to my said wife Katharine G. all my estate whether real personal or mixed which I may possess at my decease. I hereby appoint my said wife Katharine G. sole executrix of this my last will and testament without bond. I- witness whereof I have hereonto set my hand this twenty seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninty eight. Thomas F. Hodgdon Signed, published and declared by the said Thomas F. Hodgdon to be his last will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses. W. E. Gould W. W.      Thomas F. Hodgdon died on 5 March 1916 at Milo, Piscataquis, Maine, at age 74. His cause of death was listed as 'Chronic Interstitial Nephritis2' and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, Piscataquis, Maine.6
