     Nellie appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Durham, Androscoggin, Maine, at Holy Ghost and US Bible School, enumerated, 4 June 1900. A quote from the school web site provides information of Nellie's attendane at the school.
During the winter and early spring of 1900 Durham was again the focus of attention for people throughout the state. From January 14 to April 29 the Bible School at Shiloh made an evangelistic effort known as “The Maine Campaign”. The program called for reaching the entire state on an individual basis. A total of 140 students spread out throughout the state “two by two” in an effort to bring the Christian message to every single person that they could find in the state.
