     Salome Arlett Smith, daughter of James A. Smith and Mary E. Sprague, was born on 10 August 1864 at Maine.1,3

     Salome, at age 19, daughter of James A. Smith and Mary E. Sprague, married William Francis Durant at age 27 in September 1883 at Lubec, Washington, Maine.4

     Salome Arlett Smith died on 4 November 1949 at Parrsboro, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada, at age 85. Salmone's cause of death was listed as cerebral hemorrhage due to hypertension5 and was buried at Saint George's Anglican Cemetery, Parrsboro, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada.6

     Salome Arlett Smith was buried at Court Street Cemetery, Machias, Washington, Maine. Her name is inscribed on her parents headstone.7
