     Wendell, at age 33, married Avaline Evelyn Lovejoy at age 19, daughter of Levi Henry Lovejoy and Martha (Mattie) Estelle Braley, on 23 February 1935 at Maine.1

     Wendell died at age 79, on 6 January 1981, at Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine,2,4 and was buried at Charleston Village Cemetery, Charleston, Penobscot, Maine.5
