Isaiah was listed on the Draft Log. At the time he was living at Charlotte, Washington, Maine. The month of registration was in June 1863.3

     Isaiah, at age 40, son of Rev. Hosea Smith and Mary Abigail Damon, married Cordelia Higgins on 8 October 1867 at Calais, Washington, Maine, Unknown GEDCOM info: 08 OCT 1867.4

     Isaiah, at age 66, son of Rev. Hosea Smith and Mary Abigail Damon, married Sarah A. Smith at age 59, daughter of Haskell W. Smith and Deborah Harrison, on 8 June 1894 at Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine, This was Isaiah's 3rd marriage, previously divorced, and Sarah's 2nd marriage. She was a widow.5

     Isaiah D. Smith died on 8 September 1908 at Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine, at age 81. Isaiah's cause of death was listed as senility6,7 and was buried at Old Mill Town Cemetery, Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine.8

His real estate valued at $700.00 and personal property at $450.00. Their children, Edwin Augustus, Charles Calvin, Frederick M. and Lucretia Ella were listed as living with them.11

     Isaiah and Cordelia appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine, enumerated 23 August 1870. Isaiah was working as a farmer.
