KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS That I, N> G. BOQUIST, of Tillamook County of the State of Oregon, of the age of 62 years, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not acting under duress, menace, fraud, or undue influence of any person whomsoever, do make, publish, and declare this my last will and testament, in manner following, - that is to say: I. I direct that my body be decently buried, with proper regard to my station in life and the circumstances of my estate. II. I direct that my executrix, hereafter named, as soon as she shall have sufficient funds in her hands, pay my funeral expenses and the expenses of my last sickness. III. I give, bequeath, and devise unto my beloved wife, Johanna P. Boquist, all of the rest, residue, and remainder of the property which I may own at the time of my death, of every kind, name, and nature whatsoever. To have and to hold the said property during the remainder of her life, provided, however, that she shall remain my widow and not remarry. Nut in case she shall re-marry then it is my will that she shall then only have such portion of my said property as the laws of Oregon provide she should have if I had not made any will whatsoever; and the balance thereof shall, in the event of her in the event of her re-marrying, be divided, equally, amongst my chin(l)dren hereinafter named. IV. In the event that my said wife shall not re-marry before her death then it is my will that all of the property of every kind, name, and nature, remaining at the time of her death, shall be equally divided amongst my children, to-wit- Gustaf Edwin Boquist, my son, of Tillamook, Oregon; Stanley S. Boquist , my son, of Portland, Oregon; Alfred Boquist, my son, of Tillamook, Oregon. V. The use of the said property by the said Johanna P. Boquist shall be limited, as follows: All of the personal property, of every kind and nature, may be used, sold, or otherwise disposed of, as in her judgement she shall deem best: but none of the real property which I may own at the time of my death shall be sold, or mortgaged, or otherwise encumbered except by agreement of my said children: and in the event of a sale, or other disposition of the said real property, then the proceeds shall be divided amongst my said wife and children in such manner as may be agreed upon by them: provided, further, that no such sale, or other disposition, of said real property shall be made during the life od the said Johanna P. Boquist unless all of my said children shall agree thereto. VI. I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife, Johanna P. Boquist, to be the Executrix of this, my last will and testament, yo serve as such Executrix without being required to give any bonds, And I hereby revoke any and all former wills by me made. Peter M. Boquist

Peter Meling “Mel” Boquist was born in Kragaa, Norway on August 4, 1943. Mel passed away in Tillamook, Oregon on January 18, 2013 at the age of 69. Mel was adopted into the family of Carl and Ida (Meling) Boquist. He lived most of his life in Tillamook, before moving to Molalla and working on tree farms for many years. He then moved back to Tillamook and worked on the family dairy farm until he retired. Mel was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his family, daughter Kari Ferbrache of Nehalem, stepdaughter Stacy Hanby, and by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Cremation arrangements are in care of Waud’s Funeral Home in Tillamook.5

Mrs. Regina Helstrom of La Crescenta, a native of Sweden, had lived in California for eight years and in the United States for 37 years, died on Friday at her home in La Crescenta at the age of 64. She was the mother of Dr. Gordon Helstrom of Fontana, now on duty with the Army and she had been in ill health for four years. Besides her son, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs.Gladys Almquist and Ruth Helstrom of Seattle, and two brothers and a sister in Sweden. She was a member of the Swedish Baptist Church of Evanston, 111. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. onMonday at the Ingold Funeral home in Rialto. Burial will be in Montecito Memorial Park.9
