     Nellie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Sea Cliff, Nassau, New York, enumerated 5 April 1930. Nellie was listed as head of household, owning her home, valued at $22,500.00. She was a widow. Her daughters, Augusta Clara, Grace and Jeanne, brother, Fred, Jeanne's husband, Wesley and grandson, Wesley were listed as living with her.7
